The Keepers /

Claim
your node.

Every keeper on the roll is already proof-verified: we check its state against the chain with quai_getProof. Claiming adds the Claimed badge: proof that whoever keeps this tag also holds the node's own p2p key. You sign a one-time challenge on your node with openssl. Your key never leaves your machine.

What this proves

  • Proof-verified (every keeper): your node served a quai_getProof Merkle proof that we verified against the canonical block's state root, and keeps doing so every ~10 minutes.
  • Claimed (optional): the same person who keeps this tag holds the private key of the p2p node we verify at your IP. If your node's key changes, the badge drops until you claim again.
  • We only ever see your public key and a signature over our challenge. The signed text names this site, your tag and a one-time nonce, so it can't be reused anywhere else.
